An option/function so that admins (and possibly moderators) could disable the reply function on a thread (& maybe even posting, on an entire forum, without locking people out from viewing the posts?).

It would be great for things like the Board Rule threads, since there are the unfortunate issues of people replying to them (and posting in the do-not-post areas), as well as for staff-run contest or position application threads, where entries/applications are often to be PMed to a particular account.

I'm really not suggesting this as a public-use tool, since we wouldn't want the forums cluttered with threads people couldn't reply to (it's a forum! that would be silly) but it would be a great feature to allow staff to keep things a little cleaner (though maybe it could be used by regular members on specific boards only, such as the contest board? but that would also probably be more coding and blah you know).
